Pray for Ezra

When I got back to civilization the other day I called one of our Advisory Board Members, Pastor Art Manke. He has been helping in so many ways with our Sound Studio and our web page etc. He and his wife Phyllis had gone to Colorado to visit their daughter Melodee and family for their vacation. While there they received some devastating news. They had noticed that their little grandson Ezra, who I hear is Mr. Personality himself was not his normal exuberant self. His father is a doctor and they decided to take him in for some test. This child won’t be two until December and they discovered he has lymphoblastic lymphoma and central nervous system disease, an extremely rare disease. Nana Phyllis stayed behind when it was time to return to Phoenix to help her daughter as they also have another son.
You can visit their site and get his story at http://www.caringbridge.org/cb/viewMyStory.do?method=executeInit I have been praying for him and his family ever since I got the word. I have also told everyone I know here in Mexico and those I’ve written home to pray too. He had a extremely terrible day today with chemotherapy. He folded his hands and asked his mommy to please pray. Wow that tears one apart. I’m so glad I have prayer warriors who will also go to the throne for this precious tyke.
I know this is hard on all of them. Grandpa Art is really going through a lot without his wife there at home and wanting himself to be there for his children and grandchildren. I so appreciate the many prayers that is answered through you standing with us in our ministry and this is one request we cherish all of your prayers. Thank you for caring and praying.

Pray for my friend Sadot

I was just sitting down to eat when an old friend came to my open door. It had been months since I had seen him but I wanted to seek him out as he is an electrician and honest. I had bought, on my way up to Lachiguiri, a small ceiling fan for the small bedroom that doesn’t get a cross breeze and sometimes is quite hot. With our new Wall-mart bodega the prices are within reason.
Sadot had come to talk with me because he wants to run for Presidente (mayor) of Lachiguiri and he wanted me to endorse him to the pastors. I do feel from watching his life he would make a good mayor but I told him that in my position that I could not openly endorse anyone over others. That I do tell the people they should vote and that they need to pray that God would show them who would serve their town honestly.
Sadot shared with me his personal walk with the Lord but he doesn’t go to any of the churches here in town. He shared with me why and his reasons happen to be one reason I have started the Bible School for pastors here in the mountains. We have had too many leaders in one of our local churches who professed Christ and then led a life contrary to the Word of God. I won’t say more about this here but as you read my blogs you will know where I stand. I did mention to Israel that Sadot had told me he was going to run for president and asked what he thought. Israel agrees he would be an honest leader.
I did tell Sadot I would pray for him and asked if I could pray with him right then. He said yes and I really did feel the presence of the Lord as I prayed. So pray with us that God’s will be done.
As Israel and I discussed Sadot, he told me that Sadot’s daughter has been diagnosed with some form of cancer. She is about 15. She has lost most of her hair and has been given very little time to live. In my devotions this morning I was reading the 5th and 6th chapters of John. Miracle after miracle took place. God spoke to me to have Sadot bring his daughter so we could pray for her. I am asking for your prayers that God will give me wisdom in how I handle this. I believe God can heal her. I know that God could use her healing as a real witness to His power and love for His people.
I have seen God’s miracle power at work here in the mountains many times. I don’t want anyone looking to Sheri for healing so that is why I wish to keep this very low key but I do feel that as Jesus gets the glory her healing will reverberate throughout the whole region. Lachiguiri is the main municipal here in the Sierra of the Isthmus.
Also pray for our pastors that they will lead lives of integrity in front of their communities.

Pray for the Interpretation of the Bible Class coming up.

Hi Friends

This is the rainy season! Last night late it lightninged and thundered but the storm passed by quickly. I talked with Israel yesterday and he feels like I can make it to Lachiguiri without major problems. Need prayer for a safe trip. The roads are very soggy the last 40 miles.

We know the enemy doesn't want this school in the mountains and there have been many delays. Our Bible Interpretation Class for our pastors start on the 18th. We still have the bamboo and the greenhouse vinyl to install.

Pray we will have beautiful days to complete the installation so we can stay dry during the school week.

Pray for Garrett as he prepares this class that God will really use what he has prepared. He is very excited with what God has given him.

Pray for Joel and his family. Pray that we will find the right computer for editing large videos. We are committed to supplying this tool for him. He will use it also for his work with other missions too.

Pray that all the pastors will be able to attend this class.

Pray that rain will stay away from our classroom for the duration of the class week.

Thanks so much for all your prayers.

Praise Report on Rosalina de Cruz

This last week I stopped by Pastor Damien's house. I had a wonderful opportunity to chat with his wife Rosalina. She is a rather shy gal but was quite ecstatic at what God had accomplished in her body.

While I was in Lachiguiri she went to her doctor's office and they removed the fast growing growth on her breast about two weeks ago. This last week they got back the report from the biopsy. As she said, "I am all clean" There is no cancer. Praise God.

She asked me to tell you "Thank You" (Gracias)for your faithful prayers for her. She knows that God answered our prayers.

She was so thrilled, that as shy as she is she told her husband she wanted to share her heart during the service last Wednesday night at our San Agustin beach mission. She told me that yes she had been frightened and told God she didn't want to die if He still had work for her to do in the church. She wants the people of their churches to know that God is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Pray For Pastor Damien's Wife

Later this morning, Pastor Damien and his wife Rosalina, will be stopping by the house. They just discovered she has a benign tumor and the doctor wants to remove that this next week. I need to return here to be with them after going to Lachiguiri. Rosalina is scared but does believe in the power of prayer.

Update on Virginia

Just want to bring you up to date on Virginia. The dead baby was taken from her late Tuesday night. She left the hospital yesterday with the body of their baby in a jar in a saline solution and they are in Salina Cruz with their two daughters. I will pick them up early tomorrow morning as they want to bury the baby in Lachiguiri.

Virginia, health wise, seems to be OK but emotionally she has been through the wringer. She has been advised not to have any more children and she so wanted this baby. Please continue to pray for her.

I also hope to bring Israel and Virginia and family here so Virginia can rest a couple of days and Israel will release Chico, Shelby's gardener so he can have some time off. Israel will water for him while Chico takes his vacation. I will then be here for Damien and his wife, get the rally scheduled and planned. Looks like we will be very busy here for the next couple of weeks.
